Supervisor | 2nd Shift

Description

We are looking for a leader to direct the operation of the warehouse during the second shift (4pm to 1am). The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and providing guidance to associates and ensure driving of all performance indicators in service, quality and productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage assigned leads and non exempt associates. Deploy and manage direct reporting staff
  • Develop and improve warehouse processes
  • Strive for continuous improvement and ensure high standards for housekeeping
  • Organize and supervise the functions of all the following areas for maximum efficiencies: Shipping, Receiving, Replenishments
  • Ensure stock integrity in compliance with rules set by Inventory Control People Management
  • Ensure training of new hires, and propose training as necessary for existing employees
  • Ensure employee development and morale is a key focus Budgeting & Costs
  • Manage labor hours of all assigned associates; staying to budgeted hours and labor Sustain Quality & Performance
  • Report on all associated metrics and ensure meeting/exceeding in all areas
  • Have a customer focused approach to distribution quality and service
  • Manage communication with the customer service to ensure optimal focus on performance
  • Ensure the compliance of SOP’s Safety/Sanitation/Security
  • Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed and operate in compliance with OSHA and ISO standards
  • Review assigned operational areas daily to ensure the distribution center is neat and well organized and that damage to product, equipment and facility is prevented

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience in people Management
  • Extensive knowledge in SAP or equivalent warehouse management systems
  • Required: Bachelors Degree and 5-7 years related experience within Operations/Warehouse Management
  • Preferred Certification in Lean/Six Sigma
