My Drive Medical Elevated Raised Toilet Seat with Removable Padded Arms, Standard Seat has a problem - the plastic clamp thread on adjustment bracket is stripped, so the bracket is stuck. Can I replace the clamp? Is there a part I can buy to fix this?

I am considering this raised toilet seat, can you explain the 'seat lock range', stated at 11.5" - 15.5"?. my existing toilet seat is 18.5" length overall, and 11.5" length inside, will this fit with this raised toilet seat? It is an elongated model. thx.

with the raised seat with handle, do you have to remove the original seat and lid to install the raised seat?

Asked by: Mr Bill
Thank you for your inquiry, lift toilet lid and seat assembly and place rear wings of toilet seat around rim of toilet bowl. (Some toilet bowls may require that seat assembly be removed to allow proper fit.) In addition the front adjustment bracket must clear the rim in order for the raised toilet seat to fit securely. With raised toilet seat resting correctly on rim, straighten and center product over toilet bowl as necessary. Turn adjusting knob clockwise to tighten product securely in place. Hand tighten only - use no tools, and be careful not to over-tighten, as threads on adjustment bracket may strip. Should you have any additional questions, please contact our customer support, toll-free (866) 694-5085 - 8:30 am - 8:00 pm (EST). Thank You again, Jazmin @ Drive

2-in-1 Locking Raised Toilet Seat with Tool-free Removable Arms is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap piece of junk The threading on the lock located in the front is poorly designed and made. Unlocking it snapped the thread screw in two. Very disappointed having a product break after being out of the box 5 minutes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So far ok Bought for my mother for post surgery recovery. Works ok, but the seat can come off even when front screw is tightened by pulling up on the handle.
