The foot rest seem get hit by the front wheels when we turn the wheelchair. We are wondering if we got the wrong foot rest for this chair?

Thank you for your inquiry. The footrest of the caster fork could be bent. You will need your provider to check it out. Regards, Luis @ Drive

Do the leg rests remove?

Asked by: sassyinminnesota
Thank you for your inquiry. Your Cirrus Plus EC wheelchair comes standard with swing-away detachable footrests and foot-plates, which are height adjustable. To adjust the height, remove the (Fig. 14) securing screws and nuts from each side and slide the extension tube and footplate up or down to the desired height. WARNING! Never lift the wheelchair by the footrests. These parts are detachable and will not bear the weight of this chair. Lift this chair ONLY by non-detachable parts of the main frame. Never use the footrest to open doors. Thank you again Jazmin @ Drive.

Can this be pushed by helper as well as driven by myself? I get vertigo and have to stop, so I need both - to control it myself and for my husband to push. I love Drive products, especially my red rollator. Any other suggestions for fold-up power?

Asked by: Hilary
Thank you for your inquiry. Both motors have free wheel levers that disconnect the gear box from the motor. Thank you again Jazmin @ Drive.

Customer Reviews

Cirrus Plus EC is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from we have two of these... These chairs are just bullet proof. They work and have no...no problems. I have a 3" (yes a 3inch ) roho cushion in mine and have a different seat need than my 24 year old daughter. She uses a cushion with a small split in the back (for tail bone non contact). We couldn't be happier...she has her sling back relaxed a lot to lean and mine is straight up. My arms are a different height than hers...you get the point by now :D. These have never failed us going on a year....either of them !!! We don't own a car...we take these every where every day, to Starbucks and Walmart and...everywhere. I whole heartedly endorse these !!! These are also almost always listed in the top ten power wheelchair reviews....just google it...you will see them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best For Why I Bought It I have had my chair for 17 years and I can not believe there are no reviews. I looked this up for someone else and noticed no reviews. I needed a knee operation and was having tons of difficulty walking any distance. We bought a push wheelchair and my poor husband had to push me everywhere, and so once we were at a place, I was either sitting still or catering to his whims. I bought this chair because I did not want a cumbersome electric chair that needed a ramp. I LOVE THIS CHAIR! Roles are reversed, husband has severe Neuropathy, I got 2 new knees. So, when we go anywhere that involves walking we take this wheelchair. I'm 73, he's 75 and so we are not young chickens. We take turns, I walk some and then he walks some and it saves us both. But, I can walk more than him. Chair easily folds into our SUV. We're getting older so we thought we might buy one of those ramps that attach to a hitch and roll it up. It's Heavy for Jim to lift as he gets older. He uses it to go to the park with the dog. Still looks new after 16 years, we keep it in the garage. We did buy a bigger cushion and a great bag to attach to the back, has mesh for drinks. Put my purse and purchases at markets in there.
