Just saw specs, if it can hold 300lbs, 13.5 in doesn't seem correct. And the one in the video looks wider than 13.5

Asked by: Dorf
Thank you for you inquiry. The 300lbs limit is the designed strength. Drive has 2 rollators with an 18" seat, the Nitros and the 10215, and many transport chairat 18". If weight limit is 300lbs, and seat width is 13.5, something isn't right. I need at least 18

Duet Rollator/Transport Chair, 8" Casters is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Walker with a couple of quirks I purchased this rollator/transport chair for my mom who is very independent, but can't walk very far. It is a great product, but I did not give it 5 stars because of the seat - it is not very soft and it is only 13.5" wide. I also wish I could change the caster wheels for something more robust. That said, this is great for including someone in outdoor events where they can either walk around using the seat on one side, or be pushed using the seat on the other side. By switching the seat back it allows for the steering wheels to always be in the front!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tipping hazard Very unhappy with the chair. When using the footrest, it is very easy to tip the chair forward and fall out. This happened twice to my 89 year old mother. Also, if you hit a pebble or try to enter a doorway with a slightly raised threshold, you'll be thrown out of the chair. I have to roll my mothet backward through any doorway and constantly be on the lookout for any small obstructions that might get under the wheel. Very poor design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical and Easy My mother has this dual rollator and it's been wonderful. She tires easily and this allows us to get around more. The only downfall is around areas where the entry way is non-level. where its absolutely necessary for safety precautions to reverse when in transport position.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rollator/Wheelchair This seemed to be just the right thing for traveling. It has been heavy but OK until today, when the seat cracked. This is very disappointing. I notice the seat is made from what seems to be pressed cardboard while my old regular rollator has a wooden seat covered with a cushion. I am not heavier than the recommended weight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seat Malfunction Overall construction is good to excellent, the one problem encountered is the forward bar for the table or seat causes a crack in the weld that provides the security of the forward bar to crack and eventually break on both sides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Duet!! I have used my duet quite a lot as both a walker and transport chair. It's been a life saver on 2 cruises with excursions, airplanes 8 times, of course left at the door of the plane to be placed below during the flights, weddings, a funeral and in and out of our cars about a million times. When I am feeling well enough to drive, I am able to slide it in and out of my trunk alone, as long as I can sit on my bumper! Very easy fold/unfold and secure lock in both positions. Like other reviewers, i would love to see a cushioned seat and larger, shock absorbing wheels as being a rider over bumpy terrain, like brick walkways, can be jarring. Going through doorways with any sort of threshold or the many seams in a ships construction, must be navigated backward for ease and safety. And the first time we used it as a chair and, of course were late for a doctor appointment and going over cracked asphalt, I found myself (the passenger) sprawled out on the ground because a front wheel got caught in a crack. But I still love it! We just know it's limitations. So, are there things that could be improved? Yes. But there isn't anything else on the market that gives me the freedom of walking when I can and the security of being able to sit or ride when I need to, with this durability for the price!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drive Duet My wife is disabled and has been using a rollator for several years. She recently tripped and fell and broke her left foot. this required surgery to fix and she is now confined to a wheelchair as she can't walk. The wheelchair will fit our hallway but will not go through the bedroom or bathroom doors. She has to sit in the rollator and be pushed into the bedroom and bathroom. This,of course, is not what the rollatore is designed for. I saw the Duet at the DMG store and immediately knew this was what we needed. Now I did not buy ours from a store. I bought ours in a private sale from an individual who's wife had used it one time for 20 min,s. This is the best thing that we could have ever purchased. We now don't have to transfer her from the wheelchair to the Duet as she uses it instead of the wheelchair both at home and away. I highly recommend the Duet to anyone using both a rollator and wheelchair or even just a rollator. It will change your life.
