How do I fold it up?

Asked by: Carol25
Thank you for your inquiry. To fold the tiller down, release the tiller locking handle (as shown in step 3 of assembly) and slide assembly to the side (as shown in step 2 of assembly) until the tiller is disengaged. Fold the tiller down until it rests on the pad and release the locking mechanism. Thank you again Jazmin @ Drive.

my knee walker is extremely sensitive to any crack or imperfection on hard flooring surface. Is there a steering damper for stability? The handle nearly pops loose from my hands.

Do you rent the scooters via insurance

Coverage for this particular item would depend on your specific medical plan. Please contact your provider to inquire if this can be covered, or if you can be reimbursed for the cost of purchase.

Steerable Knee Walker is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Knee walker can be sized for use by all! Following surgery on my foot, my research led me to the drive knee walker. I decided this might be easier to use than a walker or wheel chair, but was somewhat hesitant because of my size (6'6", 280#). The knee walker arrived the same day I was discharged from the hospital. Set-up was simple and the only tool required, a hex key, is included with the instructions. The unit is well-built and sturdy. When engaged, the handle grip braking system provides a stable base for mounting, dismounting and standing. The knee pad is generally very comfortable. With both the knee pad and the handlebars raised to the maximum length, the knee walker is sized just right for me. There are only a few things I'd like to see changed. The wheels, while fully functional, do tend to catch on every crack or twig so you need to be careful and ride the knee walker very slowly in such terrain. I'd also like to know why the drive logo is embossed across the middle of the knee pad. I use that area frequently to steady myself at the sink and, now, the skin on my knee is getting sore. I've found placing a towel across the bench helps with cushioning. I've used the knee walker for 2-1/2 weeks and have been totally compliant with my non-weight bearing status. Based on past history, that would not have been the case with crutches or a walker. I would highly recommend the drive knee walker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Steerable Knee scooter I had an extensive surgery on my right foot and Ankle on Sept. 21. The Rehab. dept at my hospital had me try a Drive knee scooter and i found that one like this would greatly aid me in moving around at home, to follow-up doctor's appointments, short shopping trips, and to Church. It is more convenient and much safer that trying to use crutches at home and on necessary outings. I attached a couple of small flashlights to the handle bar and found a way attach my grabber which allows me to better take care of my self and help my wife with many household duties.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Steerable Knee Walker I ordered this knee walker for my husband, as he developed an ulcer right foot. He is diabetic so when his MD said no weight on that foot, the walker was recommended I had seen many people with knee scooter and I asked where do we order, there answer was Walmart. I am still waiting so I ordered thru Amazon, received in a few days. The knee walker is built well, very sturdy we are happy with this product,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent base to make the best walker with. I bought one of these to assist me with my MS. I found balancing on one knee became difficult after a while so I modified it a little and made the most useful scooter I could imagine with it. Well I take that back if I could be part of the original design I could fix so many problems from the very start. This is a great base to start with but I want more!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The wheels!! I agree this knee walker has been helpful But the wheels are awful !!! Way to narrow they catch on every little object on the floor !! As a result I did fall off of it!
