Customer Questions and Answers

How far will this go on a full charge also how will it go.

Asked by: Cartel
Thank you for your inquiry. Fully charge the battery after every trip and prior to using the power wheelchair. If you do not frequently use the power wheelchair fully charge the batteries every two weeks to prevent battery failure. To ensure maximum use from your new batteries fully charge the power wheelchair prior to initial use for 8 to 12 hours. Operate your power wheelchair until the battery gauge shows only red and orange lights, and then give your power wheelchair another full charge for 8 to 12 hours. Thank you again Jazmin @ Drive.

I'm considering buying the 2850HD-22, when I come to a tilt greater than 6 degrees will the chair climb the ramp?

Asked by: bigjoe
Thank you for your inquiry. Any steepier inclines can cause the motor and electronics to overheat. Thank you again Jazmin @ Drive.

I'm 6 feet 4 inches tall, 350 lbs. Are all of your power wheelchairs one size fits all.I'm considering the 2850HD -22. Will I fit?

Asked by: bigjoe
Thank you for your inquiry. One size does not fit all. You should have your therapist to determine if this is appropriate for you. Thank you again Jazmin @ Drive.

When getting off the chair, will the chair move? Also, are the arms strong enough to support a 350 lb. person pushing up and off the chair ?

Asked by: bigjoe
When getting on or off the chair the chair will not move provided the drive wheels are engaged (not in free wheel mode). Now for the but ... the arm rests are made of foam. If you try to hold on to or support yourself they will collapse. After all it's just foam.

I was looking at a Trident wheelchair, and it stated that it would climb a 7.5% grade. What will happen if you encounter steeper grades? I'm 6'4",350 lbs. do the machines fit... one size fits all, or are they custom fit for bariatric purposes?

Where can I find one of these physically onsite to sit in to try it? I don't have the money to just buy it without feeling how it is and then not be able to return it.

Asked by: BeckyS

Rated 4 out of 5 by from trident hd I bought the trident hd because of the front wheel drive. I have used it for over a month now I have two problems with it. I have the controls on the left side. the right side arm rest is too short for me. (they don't offer a longer one) The second problem is with the levers to put the motors in and out of neutral. They are very difficult to turn, I have sprays wd-40 on the bases to no avail.Maybe is the lever was a little longer. Other than that I simply love it. I have the 24" seat. and I can sit all day without fatigue.
