VP, Global Logistics

The Vice President of Global Logistics will anchor a center-led Logistics function across all Drive DeVilbiss business globally. He/She will develop and implement a Global Logistics structure that is integrated with supply chain and minimizes total costs while providing superior customer service.


  • Lead development & oversee execution of end-to-end logistics strategies including freight negotiations & contracting across all modes (inbound & outbound)
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create a reliable, agile network that ensures the best service & customer experience at the lowest total costs.
  • Ensure alignment with adjacent Supply Chain people & processes
  • Lead monthly & quarterly executive reviews of Global Logistics (service, cost, governance, & related)  
  • Lead and/or contribute to network design analysis and develop recommendations involving complex cost/benefit tradeoffs that drive network solutions (number, location, & size of fulfillment facilities, outsourcing vs in house fulfillment and distribution, level of automation, & integrated systems solutions).
  • Manage the development of global logistics financial plans and budgets.
  • Develop governance & KPI’s that ensure accountability & drives improved performance. This is expected to facilitated data-driven business decisions and the reporting of performance against plans, budgets, & strategic objectives.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with carriers, service providers, & industry experts. Serve as the subject matter expert for Logistics & Customs Compliance for the company.
  • Develop and/or refine related processes including cost analysis and freight audit & pay.
  • Design and implement systems that improve the customer experience including track & trace, push notifications, predictable delivery.
  • Lead identification & implementation of Continuous Improvement strategies to effectively meet or exceed business requirements & customer expectations.




  • 10+ years of global transportation experience including in-depth knowledge of:
    • Inbound ocean, airfreight and related ground and rail carriers with primary service lanes between China/Asia to points across the US and Europe to company-owned DC’s or drop shipped to customers
    • High volume multi-mode service on outbound
    • international import and export knowledge
  • Strong working knowledge of Customs’ entry processes and regulations. 
  • 3+ years (& currently active) as a Licensed Customs Broker preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a matrixed global logistics team
  • Experience with and implementation of transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Education and/or certifications in supply chain or logistics with a focus on international logistics and commerce and/or supply chain is preferred. 



  • Experience negotiating global freight contracts (inbound & outbound)
  • Experience configuring routing processes & systems that optimize execution across service & cost alternatives
  • Knowledge of Global regulations related to logistics such as import/export and customs, including security requirements to include CTPAT & certification in dangerous goods handling and aviation security
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen & how to apply it to project work & continuous improvement (baselining current conditions & creating a roadmap for improvement then leading global teams through execution)
  • Demonstrated analytical & complex problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues tactically while developing strategic resolution
  • Experience in / with a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and/or moving product in bond preferred
  • Strong project management & leadership skills
  • Change management skills and self-awareness to take varying approaches with a dynamic set of stakeholders
  • Experience building strong teams & collaborating cross functionally
