Your Mission: 


As a key role within the Supplier Management function you’ll need extensive knowledge of the foundational principles and practices to effectively manage our complex supply base. It will be critical for you to develop and execute global-sourcing strategies for your product categories via multi-functional teamwork. You’ll plan and implement activities for timely, cost-effective procurement and on-time delivery of these products which includes all elements of supply chain readiness for New Product Development, enabling high quality results from our supply base. You’ll lead negotiations, managing supplier selection, assessments, contract performance, quality improvements, cost reductions and critical performance metrics while connecting and collaborating with different stakeholders. 

  • Responsible for supplier sourcing, evaluation and selection, negotiation, performance monitoring, relationship management, and continuous improvement
  • Working closely across functions, develop and maintain supplier and/or commodity strategies
  • Set and meet TQRACC (Technology, Quality, Responsiveness, Availability, Cost, & Compliance) objectives for the suppliers / programs within the scope of the role 
  • Develop and maintain strong global supplier relationships, including supplier site visits and relationships at all levels of their organization 
  • Track and report on supplier strategies, monitoring spend, business allocation, capability gap analysis and facilitate cross-functional review and evaluation
  • Organize and lead regular strategic supplier business reviews, plus supplier site audits and qualifications.
  • Generate and present supplier performance metrics to suppliers and manage associated corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives, such as VA-VE and lead time reduction programs
  • Perform and/or evaluate root cause problem resolution for all supplier related issues and ensure the integrity of corrective actions  
  • Build flexibility into our supply chain to improve lead times and overall responsiveness
  • Participate in and support new product introduction teams. This includes ownership of supply chain readiness through to new product commercialization
  • Be creative, sensitive to emerging markets and aware of new product ideas and technologies in the categories under scope of control. Be an idea promoter to inspire team for new product and technology solutions
  • Have close coordination with suppliers on all readiness criteria (e.g. cost, quality, availability, continuity of supply, etc.) as well as purchase order management to support either development or product launch, including development of ramp up schedule with program team and communication and management with suppliers 
  • Financial Analysis and Cost Modeling – Understanding of “total cost of ownership,” can read and analyze financial statements to assess the strength of a business and use these skills in everyday sourcing decisions. Understand and creates make/buy analysis

Requirements

  • Passionate about the strategic sourcing process including, commodity analysis, supplier selection and development, contract management, supplier performance, supplier collaboration, and supplier management.
  • Able to travel within the geographical area and sometimes throughout China
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Your Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a business, supply chain or other related field. 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ work experience working with suppliers in a manufacturing environment
