PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. — Chrysalis Ashton, MSRC, RRT, Head of Respiratory Clinical Affairs and Industry Relations at Drive Medical, has been named the American Association for Respiratory Care's (AARC) 2026 Specialty Practitioner of the Year for Ambulatory and Post Acute Care.
The award recognizes respiratory therapists who have made an outstanding impact in care settings beyond the hospital, including home care and durable medical equipment. Ashton will be recognized across AARC's channels and honored at the AARC Congress in New Orleans.
Ashton joined Drive Medical in August 2026, bringing more than 13 years of experience in home respiratory care and DME. Before Drive, she served as compliance officer and education manager at CareLinc Medical, leading initiatives in clinical education, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. She currently serves as vice chair of the AAHomecare HME/RT Council, chair-elect of the homecare section for the Michigan Society for Respiratory Care, and a social media ambassador for the National Board for Respiratory Care, and she sits on AARC's Advocacy and Government Affairs Committee.
