Somerset, PA — DeVilbiss by Drive today announces the launch of the 555 Compact Oxygen Concentrator, a next-generation 5L platform engineered to help respiratory providers operate more efficiently, reduce long-term costs, and deliver a better patient experience.
A Smarter, More Efficient 5L Oxygen Concentrator
The 555 marks the first release in the DeVilbiss by Drive line of respiratory products assembled in the USA of domestic and foreign parts, following the rebranding of Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare to Drive Medical.
Building on the proven reliability and trusted performance of the time-tested DeVilbiss 525DS 5L concentrator, the 555 adds meaningful advancements in efficiency, size, and usability. The 555 is 33% more compact than its predecessor and weighs just 29.9 pounds—allowing providers to fit 36 units per pallet instead of 27, reducing freight costs, and easing the load on delivery teams. Operating at just 290 watts, it also delivers a 17 percent reduction in energy consumption, lowering operating costs for patients while reducing internal heat generation to support longer component life. A next-generation internal design with 30 percent fewer component connections, modular architecture, and streamlined component layout means faster diagnostics, simplified maintenance, and less labor time per service event, keeping fleet units in service longer.
